What’s wrong with white?

When someone recently said, “What’s wrong with white?” this got us thinking that it’s been years since we used brilliant white in our shop.

Here is a photo of the recent repaint at our Burwash Manor shop.

The walls had been previously painted in F&B’s, Preference Red No 297, a deep almost burgundy colour, that could have been a problem to cover.

Mylands brilliant white traditional emulsion, gave us great coverage. So the wall behind the furniture and the cupboard door peeping into the top right of the photo are paint in pure white emulsion.

The white emulsion wall contrasts the slightly cool off white of Farrow & Ball’s, School House White No 291 that the dresser and the chest of drawers are painted in.  The furniture has wooden Shaker drawer pulls in maple and walnut. ##neutral#fandbnewcolour#schooldhousewhite#Mylands#purewhiteemulsion#coloursoflondon#interiordesign#paintedcupboard#kitchendresser#natural#oak

Double wardrobe Mylands Museum

This cabinet was painted in a Mylands colour: Museum, wood and metal paint in an eggshell finish.
The colour is one of those “Duck Egg Blue” finishes that you can describe but hard to find exactly. Greyed out Blue with a green hint.
The glass knobs give it sparkle and soften it.
Dimensions are as follows:
Height 200cm x Width 130cm x Depth 60cm
Because it is relatively wide, the cabinet comes in 3 components: crown, base & middle. The latter of which can further be separated into two to ensure easy access into tight positions.
We put it all together & ensure it functions level & true when we deliver: compensating for uneven floors that you might have with appropriate shims.
