Chest of Drawers – Blueprint & Brass

We call this a “2 over 4” chest of drawers; that is 2 narrow drawers over 4 wide drawers.  It is 100cm wide x 45cm deep x 120cm tall and painted in a deep navy blue called “Blueprint” No 50 from Mylands.  The brass drawer pulls are 32mm in diameter.

We can supply this chest of drawers in your choice of colour from the Farrow & Ball, Mylands and Providence Paint ranges. Email workshop@providenceuk.com with your enquiry.

Form, File & Function

This 3 door cupboard is a bespoke piece that was specially commissioned to hold (and hide) A4 box files. It’s 125cm tall x 130cm wide and the internal depth – the important bit for holding the box files – is 32cm. Painted in Ammonite No 274, a soft natural neutral grey from Farrow and Ball.

Other items in the photo are a 150cm wide Shaker shelf, a 2′ x 4′ braided mat, and hand brooms made of rice straw. You’ll find more braided rugs and mats here.

What’s wrong with white?

When someone recently said, “What’s wrong with white?” this got us thinking that it’s been years since we used brilliant white in our shop.

Here is a photo of the recent repaint at our Burwash Manor shop.

The walls had been previously painted in F&B’s, Preference Red No 297, a deep almost burgundy colour, that could have been a problem to cover.

Mylands brilliant white traditional emulsion, gave us great coverage. So the wall behind the furniture and the cupboard door peeping into the top right of the photo are paint in pure white emulsion.

The white emulsion wall contrasts the slightly cool off white of Farrow & Ball’s, School House White No 291 that the dresser and the chest of drawers are painted in.  The furniture has wooden Shaker drawer pulls in maple and walnut. ##neutral#fandbnewcolour#schooldhousewhite#Mylands#purewhiteemulsion#coloursoflondon#interiordesign#paintedcupboard#kitchendresser#natural#oak
